Greening Australia is partnering with IGA to help restore Australia’s unique and diverse landscapes, aiming to establish 65,000 trees.  

We’ll achieve this by bringing IGA customers on the journey with us through the Buy One Get One Tree promotion. In partnership with Greening Australia, this new campaign gives shoppers the opportunity to help support nature restoration by purchasing participating products in IGA stores between 31st May and 20th June and 31st August to 20th September 2023. Greening Australia will plant one native Australian tree where it is needed most for every product purchased, with the goal to establish 65,000 trees. 

This campaign will fund positive changes for people and nature, such as recreating habitat for native animals, increasing biodiversity, improving water quality, and sequestering carbon.

IGA is passionate about supporting local communities, with a network of over 1,300 independent family-owned businesses across Australia. IGA stores sit at the heart of the local communities they serve, giving back and supporting local producers, suppliers, and charities wherever possible.  

This partnership with IGA will contribute to Greening Australia’s ambitious goals to plant over 500 million native plants over 330,000 hectares by 2030 and support our mission to create healthy, productive landscapes where people and nature can thrive.  

By working together with IGA towards a goal of 65,000 trees, Greening Australia will be able to expand selected project sites to deliver large-scale restoration programs to help tackle the twin crisis of biodiversity loss and climate change.
