Wingecarribee River Tree Planting and Bird Walk

Join us to restore habitat for Platypus along the Wingecarribee River and learn about the birds of the Southern Highlands.

Through the Wall to Wollondilly project we have been restoring habitat along the Wingecarribee River for the past six years. Come along to learn about and celebrate the successes, and get your hands dirty planting native seedlings to restore habitat along a missing link of the River.

It is also Aussie Bird Count week, and local birdwatchers from BirdLife Southern Highlands will help introduce and identify some of the nearly 100 species which use the habitat along the Wingecarribee River.

There will be free native plants for particpants to take home!

Please bring a hat, water bottle, gardening gloves, sturdy shoes and a sense of adventure and wonder! It will be fun for the whole family. Morning tea and lunch will be provided.
